The reigning champion of the UFC women’s Bantamweight and Featherweight division, Amanda Nunes is booked to defend her Featherweight title against Megan Anderson in March 2021 at UFC 259. This fight was originally booked as UFC 256’s co-main event but Amanda pulled out her name as she had a baby with Nina Ansaroff.

Now the champ is ready and the lioness will enter the Octagon in the title fight against Anderson. After losing the fight against Felicia Spencer at UFC Fight Night: Dos Anjos vs Lee, Anderson is on a two-fight win streak coming into this fight. First, she won the fight against Zarah Fairn Dos Santos at UFC 243 by submission.

And then she knocked out Norma Dumont Viana at UFC Fight Night: Benavidez vs Figueiredo, in this fight she also won the performance of the night bonus. With these two wins and her former win in the Featherweight division, she is getting a chance to face the current champion.

Amanda Nunes won the UFC women’s Featherweight championship by defeating Cris Cyborg at UFC 232 and after that, she defended it against Felicia Spencer at UFC 250. This is going to be the second title defense in the Featherweight division for Nunes.

Megan Anderson who was all set to face Amanda Nunes at UFC 256 shared the tweet “supposed to be fight day”, she was upset that on this day she was getting the fight for the title but that didn’t happen. Now as this fight is rebooked she re-tweeted the original tweet.

Now, the stage is all set for Amanda Nunes to return inside the Octagon and show once again why she is the two-division UFC champion and for Megan Anderson, it is a chance to dethrone the queen.
