The card for UFC 257 just got stacked even more. A major strawweight clash has been added to it, where rising strawweight contender Amanda Ribas is set to take on the “Karate Hottie”, Michelle Waterson. The cardwill most probably be headlined by the big rematch between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier.

Ribas currently has a 10-1 record in her professional career, and is one of the most highly-rated prospects in the division. The Brazilian remains undefeated in the UFC with a record of 4-0 and has defeated the likes of Emily Whitmire, Mackenzie Dern, Randa Markos, and Paige VanZant; who she submitted with a first-round armbar UFC 251 back in July for her most recent win.

Michelle Waterson is an experienced campaigner with an 18-8 record in her professional career. Waterson is 6-4 in the UFC, having faced the best fighters in the division. She most recently defeated Angela Hill in a Fight of the Night bonus-earning split-decision victory in September. This marked the end of a two-fight losing skid for her, having suffered back-to-back decision losses to former champions Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Carla Esparza.

Having won four of her last six fights, “The Karate Hottie” will be going in with considerable momentum. Whether she beats Ribas will remain to be seen.
