This week, two biggest trades took the place of two of the biggest star wide receivers in the league– Davante Adams to the New York Jets and Amari Cooper to the Buffalo Bills. While the former is reuniting with his ex-teammate Aaron Rodgers, with whom he has great chemistry, the latter is stepping into a completely new environment that he views as an opportunity to shape his own destiny.
After giving up a three-time Pro Bowler wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans this offseason, the Bills astounded everyone by acquiring Cooper in a trade deal with the Cleveland Browns. Cooper, who willingly agreed, considered his transition from the struggling 1-5 Browns to a leading 4-2 Bills as revitalizing for him.
Known being his reputation, the five-time Pro Bowler brings a skilled route runner in the Bills’ solid offense, who has the ability to catch difficult passes by creating a separation of himself with the defenders.

After losing Diggs and Gabe Davis, Buffalo’s offense has indeed struggled as they are ranked 21st in the league and 25th in terms of passing offense. Adding a veteran player like Cooper was exactly what they needed in their quest for the grand Super Bowl.
Amari Cooper praised new quarterback Josh Allen after joining Bills
Since being drafted in 2015 by the Oakland Raiders, Cooper has a wide experience with several types of quarterbacks including Derek Carr, Dak Prescott, Deshaun Watson, Jacoby Brissett, and Joe Flacco. And now, he has entered the solid offense led by quarterback Josh Allen.
He expressed his excitement to share the locker room and play alongside the star player. Before facing the Tennessee Titans on Sunday for a week 7 matchup, the Bills intend to spend this week adjusting the newly acquired Cooper in the team’s offense to encourage his full potential.
