After making a birdie on the 12th hole, the Spanish golfer forgot that there are restrooms to the left of the 13th hole tee box. As Thomas was still on the green, the golfer instead went to the Rae’s Creek and took a bathroom relief. Some patrons saw him doing this and clapped for him.

He was later asked about what had happened. The golfer did not seem fazed by the clapping and claimed that he would do it again if he had to.

I’m like ‘I really need to pee. Didn’t really know where to go, and since (Thomas) had an issue on the green, I’m like ‘I’m just going to sneak here in the river and probably people would not see me that much… They saw me. It was not embarrassing at all for me. If I had to do it again, I would do it again.

Speaking of this performance, he finished his first round at the Masters with a score of 4-over 76. He made 3 bogeys, 1 triple bogey, and 2 birdies in his debut at his iconic golf course.

As Ballester is not a professional yet, he does not have any sponsorship. This means he is free to try his own gear a little bit for the moment. He took full advantage of it and wore a cap that has annoyed several golfing fans.

Yes, his cap has also caused a stir in the golfing world. He was rocking a distinct cap with the letters “Sun Devils” being upside-down. Ballester is part of the Arizona State Sun Devils, the college he plays for. Social media users were unhappy to see him rocking a hat with the letters upside-down.

The Augusta National is also known for its tradition regarding the clothes. Last year at this event, 13-time PGA Tour winner Jason Day was asked to remove the baggy clothes that he donned. He was wearing the clothes of the Malbon Golf Club after he split with Nike.
