Patrick Mahomes made it clear that he has no intention of openly taking sides with a particular political party, even after Donald Trump personally thanked his wife, Brittany Mahomes. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback claimed he prefers sticking to work for the community instead of endorsing political agendas through his platform.
It’s the opposite of what Brittany has been busy doing in the last couple of weeks. The mother of soon-to-be three posted in support of Trump, and the former United States president replied back, thanking her for the support.
Brittany’s act supposedly created a rift between her bestie Taylor Swift until they showed up at the recent US Open with Mahomes and Travis Kelce. However, a few days later, the pop icon, through an Instagram post, made sure the world knew who she was siding with.

After Wednesday’s practice before the Chiefs face the Cincinnati Bengals in week 2, reporters asked the 3x Super Bowl winner about his opinion on his family getting pushed into the political spotlight.
No, I mean I think at the end of the day, it's about me and my family and how we treat other people. And I think you see is that Brittany does a lot in the community. I do a lot of community in the community to help bring people up and give people other opportunities to use their voice.Patrick Mahomes said as per Chiefs beat reporter for AtoZ Sports Charles Goldman.
Besides being one of the best football players, Mahomes contributes massively to society. He organizes charity events to raise money and runs ‘15 and the Mahomies’ with Brittany, helping underprivileged children receive a better education. Brittany also invested much time and effort to increase the popularity of women’s soccer, buying shares in KC Currents and even funding for their new stadium.
Patrick Mahomes will not endorse anyone from his platform
In his closing statement, Mahomes once again reminded that he will not use his position as the reigning Super Bowl-winning quarterback to stir up the political air.
The multiple-time pro-bowler prefers his method of encouraging people to register themselves as voters instead of influencing them to vote for an individual or a political party.
I've always said I don't want my place and my platform to be used to endorse a candidate or do whatever either way. I think my place is to inform people to get registered to vote, is to inform people to do their own research and then make their best decision for them and their family.Patrick Mahomes said.
The 3-time Super Bowl champion also said that he doesn’t care about the person’s political views whenever he’s just hanging out casually. Instead, he focuses on how they treat other people.
Whenever I'm hanging out with whoever, I'm not thinking about their political views. I'm thinking about the people and how they treat other peopleMahomes added.
Back in 2020, before the last presidential election, Patrick Mahomes encouraged US citizens to vote rather than voicing his support for either Donald Trump or Joe Biden. He had a big hand in turning GEHA Field into one of the bases of operation for open registration for voting. Mahomes stuck to his guns and advised everyone to do their own research and then vote for the most suitable candidate,
