Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears took some unexpected shots from their rivals ahead of their pivotal NFC Divisional showdown. Amon-Ra St. Brown, wide receiver for the Detroit Lions, and his brother Equanimeous refused to acknowledge the Bears for their victory over the Green Bay Packers in the wildcard round.
Williams threw two touchdowns, two interceptions, and 361 yards as the Bears took down the Packers 31-27. Wide receiver DJ Moore caught one of the touchdowns, while rookie tight end Colston Loveland had 8 receptions for 137 yards.
Equanimeous, who played for both the Bears and the Packers, argued that Green Bay blew the game.
I watched every second of that sh**… Honestly, the Bears ain’t win that sh**, the Packers lost it.
Equanimeous St. Brown said on the latest episode of The St. Brown podcast
Amon-Ra nodded at his brother’s every word. The 26-year-old, who wrapped up 2025 with 1,401 yards and 11 touchdowns, likened the Packers’ loss to the Lions’ Week 17 defeat in 2024 against the San Francisco 49ers.
Like [when] you’re thinking, ‘oh yeah, we won,’ like ‘we should win this game…’ We go out there for the last drive. Defense is all hyped up, not getting them hella energy, like now they’re ready to play harder and sh**. I’m like, f*** we had these dudes. And I know the Packers are feeling the same way, like, ‘damn, they’re just slowly coming back‘.
Amon-Ra St. Brown quipped
"The Bears didn't win that s**t, the Packers lost it."

St. Brown isn’t far off the mark. In both games, the trailing team won with a last-gasp touchdown. Quarterback Josh Dobbs, now part of the Patriots, rushed to break the Lions’ hearts while Williams threw back-to-back touchdown passes in the final five minutes against the Packers to knock them out of the playoffs.
Caleb Williams receives an apology from a lifelong Packers fan
Despite hosting the Packers in Chicago, the Bears were viewed as the underdogs. At the end of the third quarter, the Packers led by 15 points. Quarterback Jordan Love threw 3 touchdown passes and looked like the MVP of the game.

The scenario changed in the final quarter. Running back D’Andre Swift began the improbable comeback, and Williams finished with two TD passes. The game ended 31-27, and the Bears qualified for their first divisional round game since 2010.
Famous rapper Lil Wayne, a lifelong Packers fan, took a swipe at Williams for ending the Packers’ playoff run. Williams quickly responded with the Iceman emoji.

Even fans of his songs weren’t too pleased by Wayne’s tweet. He went AWOL for a couple of days before resurfacing with a different message. Wayne apologized for directing hateful words toward the former first overall draft pick.

Wayne’s gesture is nice, but he still hasn’t taken down the previous tweet.
Regardless, it’s been a historic season for Williams. He completed 58.1% of his passes for 3942 yards, 30 total touchdowns, and 7 interceptions in 17 starts, a run that included seven game-winning drives.
