Anand Mahindra to gift Thar SUV to Natarajan, Siraj, Gill, Thakur, Sundar and Saini for their terrific performance in Australia

No doubt that India’s historic win by three wickets in Brisbane has invited praises and lauds in huge numbers from all fronts. After acknowledgements by the BCCI, PM Narendra Modi, reputed businessman Anand Mahindra has announced to gift the Mahindra Thar SUV to six members of the side.

The five debutants- T Natrajan, Mohammed Siraj, Shubman Gill, Washington Sundar, and Navdeep Saini along with Shardul Thakur, all of whom played gritty cricket, will be given Thar SUV as a present by the chairman of Mahindra Group.

Anand Mahindra announced the giveaway on Twitter today afternoon. He hailed all these with their names, congratulated them and requested Mahindra Auto to give the young guns Thars keeping it on the priority. He clearly stated that all new Thar SUV’s would be provided on his account—at no expense to the company.

This is not the first time, Mahindra has made such a gesture towards sportspersons. He had gifted a TUV 300 to Kidambi Srikanth after winning a Super Series Title in 2017.

The young boys played cricket beyond their age, showed commitment, valour and spirit to clinch the series 2-1 and retain the prestigious Border-Gavaskar trophy.
