Hardly 12 hours left until Anderson Silva faces Uriah Hall, in what is expected to be his last ever match in his professional MMA career. The Brazilian Legend, will be looking forward to going out with a bang when he faces the Jamaican Uriah Hall later tonight at UFC APEX. Despite not fighting for over 17 months, Anderson Silva assured that he would be free of ring rust. The man, who people consider to be one of the greatest mixed martial artist of all time, holds the record for the longest win streak and the longest title reign in the history of UFC, is someone modern day fighters look up to.

Silva looked back on his career, speaking about his first fight, fights he would like to try again, his inspiration; in an interview.

Speaking about his fight against Uriah Hall, Anderson Silva said that he was well prepared and ready. He said, “I’ve trained for this fight for four months. I feel very prepared and confident. I try to enjoy every single moment of my life because we don’t have control over time. My complete focus right now is on the fight on Saturday. I want to do my best and make it special for my fans, my country and me,” he said during a virtual UFC media conference.

Anderson Silva had a lot to speak about his first fight and how he looked to Muhammad Ali for inspiration, “The thing special about the Griffin fight was that I watched several tapes of Muhammad Ali fights before that. And that was the secret for my victory in that bout. The magic moment happened, and I want to thank Griffin for fighting me. That was the best moment of my life.”

“The Spider” also spoke about a few fights he would like to run back. He was quoted as saying, “I usually don’t think about rematches. But if I had got a rematch against Michael Bisping, it would have been special. It never happened. And I would like to run back the Nick Diaz fight too because it’s the only No-Contest in my career.”
