On the latest episode of SmackDown, Andrade squared off against LA Knight for the United States Championship. Despite putting in a valiant effort, El Idolo fell short of winning the title for a second time in his career. After suffering a heartbreaking loss against Knight, Andrade has sent a message to the WWE Universe.
The former AEW star took to X to express his gratitude towards the Sacramento crowd. Moreover, Andrade put over the champion, showing his respect for Knight. At last, the 34-year-old vowed to come back stronger in his next battle. Hence, confirming that he wasn’t finished in his pursuit for the championship.
Speaking of the match, Knight and Andrade delivered an enthralling television match. Apart from the notable botch, the two men had the live crowd on their feet for the entirety of the bout. The closing stretch saw The Megastar hit the BFT on his opponent to pick up the win. In a heartwarming display of sportsmanship, Andrade and Knight shook hands, after which the Latino superstar raised the United States Champion’s arm.

This marked LA Knight’s third successful title defense since he won the championship at SummerSlam. In less than two months, the 41-year-old has already surpassed his predecessor in terms of championship defenses. Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes VI set for next week’s SmackDown episode
Andrade couldn’t catch a break after losing against LA Knight. The former NXT Champion was confronted backstage by his rival, Carmelo Hayes. The latter mocked Andrade for failing to win against Knight.
In response, El Idolo launched an attack on Hayes and the two men began to brawl. Later on the show, WWE announced that the sixth match of the duo’s well-acclaimed series would take place on next week’s episode of SmackDown.
The former AEW star currently leads 3-2 against Carmelo. If the 30-year-old star equals the tally next week, fans could see the blowoff match of this feud at the Bad Blood PLE. Regardless of the outcome, both Andrade and Hayes have certainly proved why they are among the best stars on the roster.
