Andrade released from WWE

A couple of weeks ago, Andrade confirmed that he had asked WWE for his release from the company. The former United States Champion was reportedly dissatisfied from his role in the company, and had asked the senior management for his release.

Andrade recently had posted a cryptic tweet in which he wrote “good news” in English and Spanish. The tweet indicated that Andrade was really happy and it led to the speculation that Andrade might’ve been released from the company.

But now the reason for his happiness has been revealed. WWE announced on their official Twitter handle that Andrade has been released from the company.

Andrade might consider teaming up with Vega again

After being officially released from the company, Andrade is under a 90-day non-compete clause. The clause will expire on June 20, 2021. It has been revealed that Andrade will be able to use his name elsewhere, but not the extension – Cien Almas. Andrade used this extension when he was on NXT.

Now the most likely option for him is to sign with All Elite wrestling. Lately, numerous WWE Superstars have switched to AEW. But the issue is that AEW’s currently roster has more wrestlers than they showcase on TV.

It is likely that AEW will look into the option of signing Andrade with Thea Trinidad (formerly known as Zelina Vega on WWE).
