No matter the result, Manchester United fans turning on Andre Onana has become a common sight on Football X. The Red Devils’ keeper has definitely failed to live up to his reputation from his time at Inter Milan and Ajax as fans call for him to be removed from the club.
While Erik ten Hag refused to point fingers at anyone after the loss, several fans were of the opinion that Onana was certainly responsible for a few of the goals conceded.
While some of Crystal Palace‘s goals screamed of unstoppable, at least a few of them could’ve been saved according to fans. A clip that has gone viral on X shows Onana diving ‘past’ the ball for Michael Olise‘s second goal of the game. Even though Casemiro lost possession in a crucial area, some found fault with Onana’s goalkeeping.
As for Palace’s second goal of the game, the Cameroonian was caught off-guard at his near post. A replay of Jean-Philippe Mateta‘s goal shows the United backline visibly disappointed as the ball goes in.
Many pointed out that the defenders fully expected Onana to get his hands on the shot.

Andre Onana slander has come up on the timeline yet again as the goalkeeper let in four against Crystal Palace. Fans also pointed out how the goalkeeper has let in 10 goals in his last four games. Many laughed at Onana for playing like he had cement in his gloves.
A supporter said that even though he’s such a conflicting player, his recent performances have been leaning towards him being ‘trash’. Fans mockingly praised Onana for having the worst xG and shots against for a keeper in the League. United have conceded 55 goals this season, which is 3 more than they’ve managed to score.
Another supporter called out the defenders as well, pointing out his Olise managed to ‘walk his way in’ to their box. One of the most liked comments was that how Onana only needs 12 more goals to break Lionel Messi’s 91 goals scored in a year record. Some faithful fans still stood by him, claiming that this was all bad luck and that he’ll get better next season.
