Andre Onana‘s time at Manchester United has been far from ideal. The former Ajax and Inter Milan keeper has struggled to live up to his expectations under Erik ten Hag, with ‘hilarious’ errors and lapse of judgements being the highlights of his time at Old Trafford.
After signing for the Reds back in 2023, the player let in a total of 58 goals in 38 appearances. While many backed the player to grow into his role at the club and make a name for himself next season, his recent comments have taken away confidence from many.
One of the most characteristic traits of the Cameroonian is his affinity to take risks. In a recent interaction with the press, Onana claimed that fans will be treated to more of the same this season, and that they better be ready.

There are very few players that take as many risks on the ball as Andre Onana. As United prepare for the 2024/25 season under the ‘Ratcliffe era’, fans couldn’t have been more worried about Onana. A fan commented that his claims were a warning to fans that he’ll break his own record for most goals conceded in a single season.
Another laughed at how Onana has started to ‘enjoy’ the hate and criticism aimed toward him.
