UFC Vegas 35: Andre Petroski defeated Micheal Gillmore via TKO in round number 3

The middleweight contest between Micheal Gillmore (6-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and Andre Petroski (5-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) marked the debut of both of these athletes in a UFC live event. Both these athletes were pretty even in the first two rounds, and then Petroski turned the tides in round number 3.
Round 1- Petroski came out swinging just as the fight started, he moved forward but Gillmore caught him with a slick right hand. Big reset from Petroski and both acquired the centre of the octagon. Petroski was moving forward and he caught Gillmore with a big hook and landed a huge slam at the centre of the octagon. Gillmore defended well on the ground and got up only to be taken down again, Petroski controlled him on the ground and finished the round strong.
Round 2- Gillmore came out hot in round number 2, he kept his distance, and landed some big leg kicks that really hurt Petroski. Petroski was looking for a takedown but Gillmore kept him at a distance and cracked him with some nice counter punches. Petroski landed a big overhand right and secured a takedown just as the round was ending, he finished the fight on top.

Round 3- Petroski went straight for the takedown and got this one, he battered Gillmore with some heavy punches from the top, Gillmore tried to break free but Petroski maintained the top position. Petroski continued with his onslaught, he wrapped Gillmore’s hand around his neck and landed a barrage of elbows to force the referee to stop the fight. A great addition to the main card of UFC Vegas 35
