Friendly online banter is no uncommon occurrence in the Murray household, with humor running in the blood. Three-time Grand Slam champion and former world number one, Andy Murray is often seen roasting his mom, Judy, on social media. 

The two were at it again today, but it was Judy who struck back at her son for all the times he has had a laugh at her expense. She was out getting ice cream with her two sons, Andy Murray and Jamie Murray, and they got together to take a selfie with their ice cream cups in hand. While Judy and Jamie can be seen grinning ear to ear, Andy had his iconic smug look which we have seen throughout the years.

Judy took a jab at this expression of his by posting the selfie on X (formerly Twitter) and saying he looks like that one kid who always ruins family photos.

Usually, Andy gets the final blow in these banters but this time, it looks like Mama Murray got a rare win.

That time Andy Murray hilariously roasted his mom for a bad Instagram post

Instagram has a preset aspect ratio that it crops all uploaded photos into, and this sometimes crops out parts of the image that is being posted. Oblivious to this, Judy Murray made a post in 2020 with a photo of mandarins arranged to read ‘hello’.

It was an attempt at making a meme, as she captioned it “How to say hello in Mandarin.” This photo was cropped by Instagram to a point where no one could tell the fruits were arranged to look like the word ‘hello’. Andy Murray noticed this and did not mince words when he criticized his mom’s social media skills in a sarcastic yet humorous way. 

Instagram is a visual platform so if you post a picture with half the content cut it it doesn't work work.. you will get less likes and purple will unfollow you (probably a wise decision on their part).

Adding insult to injury, he also warned his mom that this was the last warning before he unfollowed her.
