Andy Murray, Bjorn Borg, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Emma Raducanu, Simona Halep, and Coco Gauff
In a very fun interview from Tennis Channel, four of the shining young stars Emma Raducanu, Stefano Tsitsipas, Simona Halep, and Coco Gauff were asked about their dream Mixed Doubles Partners who had retired and they came up with some really exciting legends of the sport.
Playing a mixed doubles match requires really great rhythm between the players and coordination. Picking a player who could be your potential partner needs a lot of consideration. It should be someone who is complimenting your style of play.
However, we are not sure if these players took all that into consideration but their answers looked really exciting. It all started with Stefano Tsitsipas who was quite straightforward in picking Ana Ivanovic as his dream mixed doubles partner. The Greek and Serbian would certainly be a dangerous pair and dreadful for the opponents.
It seemed Emma Raducanu had the answer in her mind even before entering the interview. She was very quick to pick Andy Murray as her dream partner. She said, “Especially at Wimbledon. I think that would probably be the most incredible atmosphere to just go and walk out onto the center court hopefully. That’s like, ‘ideal’” Indeed the two brits playing together in front of the home crowd would create an electric atmosphere.

After Emma Raducanu and Stefanos Tsitsipas it came to Simona Halep and the prodigy Coco Gauff to pick their dream mixed-doubles partners. Simona Halep went with one of the legends of the game Bjorn Borg. She said, “He was a bit special with his emotional part and I wish I could be that calm on the court. So maybe I can learn some things from him.”
Halep playing with Bjorn Borg would certainly be a treat to watch. It will be the true representation of Ice and Fire coming together and we might see some brilliant performances from the pair.
Last but not least it was the 18-year-old Coco Gauff who chose Arthur Ashe to be her dream partner. She said, “I didn’t watch him live obviously because he passed away before I was born. I watched tapes and everything that he did for the game on the court and off the court. Is something I get inspired by and also lead by.”
