Ever since Travis Kelce started dating the pop superstar Taylor Swift, the star tight end came under intense spotlight with flashlights everywhere he went. However, contrary to what people had expected, he was absolutely unfazed by the sudden spotlight. In a recent interview, Andy Reid revealed why.
The Athletic‘s Scoop City podcast kickstarted the show with the highest-paid head coach in U.S. Sports as the first guest. After covering a variety of topics, Reid was asked about the intense spotlight his star tight end has been receiving since his relationship with Swift became public knowledge.
I think it's great for him. He can handle it. As a matter of fact, I think he probably loves it to a point. I think there's a great escape for him. I said that about Taylor, too. I mean, she comes to the game, she can kind of escape having to be the show. When he goes to her concerts, she's the star. Reid highlighted that the fame actually surrounds the “Lover” singer and her beau has just grown into it. But there’s another reason why Kelce fits so well in Swift’s world and that’s his “outgoing nature” as the three-time Super Bowl winning-head coach said.

The Kansas City Chiefs head coach has also been called ‘Cupid’ in the romance of the star tight end and the 14-time Grammy winner. Last year in September, right when the celebrity couple gained the limelight, Kelce revealed that Reid played a cupid in their relationship.

Reid also didn’t back down from taking credit for the famous romance and admitted that he set them up. As Swift started attending more Chiefs games and spending time with Kelce’s teammates and Reid, she became a part of the Chiefs kingdom.
