Super Bowl LIX will take place at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. In order to be ready, Andy Reid is preparing his Kansas City Chiefs to play their best game of the season. The Philadelphia Eagles are as formidable as they get, therefore, the 66-year-old head coach wants to avoid all distractions.
That has seen the Chiefs seemingly stay quiet ever since completing their AFC Championship game interviews. They know the talk surrounding their team is that of officials seemingly favoring them. Any player or coach engaging in those talks will likely draw unnecessary attention.
During Friday’s press conference at the Chiefs facilities, Reid tried to follow the same process. He tried to concentrate conversations surrounding how his team are preparing and nothing about the ongoing discourse. Then a reporter asked him if he has a favorite restaurant in New Orleans.
Hearing this, a reporter followed it up, asking Andy Reid if he is worried the Eagles fan head chef will poison his food. To this, the cheeseburger loving coach replied;

This brought out a chuckle from the gathered reporters. Tales of his love for food are legendary. So, it won’t be a surprise if he visits one of his favorite restaurants in New Orleans with his family after he wins another Super Bowl. But he will ignore Emeril’s.
Andy Reid will face an improved version of his former team in Super Bowl LIX
Prior to joining the Kansas City Chiefs, Andy Reid spent 14 seasons as the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. Therefore, he must have felt a sense of redemption when his Chiefs beat the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.
However, this season, the Philly team is a major improvement over what they faced in that Super Bowl. There are many players who have stayed on from that team. However, this offseason, the Eagles addressed some of their major shortcomings from last season.
That saw the defense take massive strides in becoming one of the best in the league. In addition to that, Saquon Barkley has been the major upgrade at running back the team wanted. His 2000+ yards on the ground this season have placed a level of fear among opponents that was not there in Super Bowl LVII.
Andy Reid knows his Chiefs will have to slow Barkley down. But while they do that, they cannot take their eyes off the Eagles’ elite receiving core. They may have had issues in their passing game this season, but they know how to turn it up whenever needed.
