Taylor Swift supposedly expressed her political views during a recent performance while on her Eras Tour. Harris Faulkner, a host at Fox News, made controversial statements on air against this action by Swift.

However, Andy Roddick defended the pop star through X. He criticized Faulkner’s statement, reposted the clip and ridiculed her for what was said.

She can vote any kind of way she wants, she can talk about it off stage, but when people pay to see you, just perform.
Harris Faulkner said on Fox News’ coverage of Taylor Swift’s latest tour

As is customary, Andy Roddick took to X to slam Faulkner.

Imagine someone telling [Taylor Swift ] how/what to perform. At her own show …Imagine telling her to shut up and dribble, but also asking Scott Baio/Ted Nugent about campaign strategy on air.

Roddick and Swift share the same political inclination and lean toward more libertarian establishments. The former tennis world no.1 has also established his opinions through his social media platforms and also his massively successful podcast, ‘Served with Andy’.

He is often seen standing up for his beliefs, and others who share them, on X and calling out people who make controversial and seemingly unnecessary statements, as was done today.

Andy Roddick hilariously reacts to the Montreal Masters draw from 2009

In his prime, Andy Roddick was amongst the top contenders for big titles in tennis. He has lost in the finals of Wimbledon thrice, and all of those losses came against the great Roger Federer. Clips of his interviews where he tickled the audience’s funny bones with his humor, at his own expense, often go viral on social media.

With a knack for lightening up intense situations, Andy Roddick reposted a photo of one of the toughest draws in tennis. It was the draw for the last 8 in the Montreal Masters in 2009, in which Roddick was competing too. With him were the Big Three, Andy Murray, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Juan Martin del Potro, and Nikolay Davydenko – all of the top 8 seeds of the tournament which astonishingly almost never happens in the Open Era.

………….Strong draw

Roddick gave himself a pat on the back with this reaction, and rightfully so. Murray did go on to win that tournament, defeating del Potro in the final. Roddick bowed out against del Potro in the semifinal, after having beaten Novak Djokovic in straight sets in the quarterfinal.
