Ange Postecoglou‘s take on Tottenham Hotspur fans wanting their own team to lose has been a ‘knock on the head’ for many. The North London derby is one of the most fiercely contested rivalries in England.
While Tottenham Hotspur find themselves in fifth, Arsenal are in contention for the title. The Gunners were set to be the ones that would have benefitted the most had Manchester City lose to Spurs.

It had been reported earlier that many Spurs fans were calling for their team to throw the game against City so that it hampers Arsenal‘s chances of lifting the title. Had City lost the game against Spurs, the Gunners would have been on top, leading by a point.
However, a 2-0 loss to City means that Arsenal now need City to drop points on the final matchday if they are to claim the title. Following the game, Postecoglou expressed his distaste at Spurs fans wanting their own team to lose.
You want to stop another club winning a trophy? Win it yourself. The notion of not wanting to win for any reason, I can’t understand it.
Ange Postecoglou said in a press conference
Spurs’ final game of the season is against Sheffield United while Arsenal take on Everton.
Ange Postecoglou reveals ‘worst experience as a manager’
Tottenham Hotspur‘s 2-0 loss to Manchester City was a case of fine margins. From Stefan Ortega‘s wonder-save against Son Heung-min to Kevin De Bruyne‘s controversial ‘offside’ claim, fans were witness to a rollercoaster of emotions. The Spurs manager was worried that fans had misinterpreted his intentions and many even questioned his integrity.

We gotta hope we're never in that situation again, but if we are then we'd approach it differently. That was probably my worst experience as a football manager. If nothing else, people should know that I love this game and I'm very principled.Ange Postecoglou said in an interview
Tensions boiled over when Postecoglou lashed out at a fan who was constantly calling for the manager to throw the game. An enraged Postecoglou was seen angrily responding to the fan who was using ‘abusive language’ at the boss. However, Postecoglou said that the fan was more than welcome to have a seat at the next Spurs game and share his thoughts.
