Angel Reese does not agree with slams Delta Air Lines offer of $30k payout to crash-land passengers

Angel Reese generally speaks her mind on anything that she connects with. Be it clapping back at social media trolls or answering questions to the media, her name is all over the country especially when it comes to the WNBA and anything she has been associated with.

She is coached by the great Shaquille O’Neal who has a penchant for staying out of controversial topics. Many expected her to continue on that path. However, her tweets after the US Presidential election results came out suggested she wants to get many things off her chest.

Since then, she has not talked about politics but still keeps an eye out for those random trolls. She did not even spare her Unrivaled Rose BC teammate Kahleah Copper during a recent twitter exchange. But that can be termed as just banter between colleagues and not anything major. That is until she tweeted this.

Wait that’s it? YEAH NO.

That was Reese’s reply to a tweet by HuffPost’s journalist Philip Lewis. He mentioned that Delta Air Lines was offering $30k to each passenger affected in their upside-down crash-landed Toronto flight. The Chicago Sky superstar does not seem impressed by the paltry amount Delta Air Lines have offered.

There is no doubt that passengers on that flight were saved from life-threatening injury. But even then, they had to go through the ordeal of that crash land and the then making their way out of an airplane on its belly. Angel Reese believes that amount will not be enough to compensate for their trauma.

She knows a thing or two about trauma after nearly suffering from it from fans in her rookie WNBA season. She faced constant hate for her missed layups where fans even suggested she was stat padding her way to records. Now, she is determined to change that narrative.

Since the WNBA offseason started, Angel Reese was recovering from wrist surgery. That meant, she could not touch a basketball until her wrist fully healed. During that time, she was busy promoting herself in the entertainment spectrum.

Even after she recovered fans did not see many signs of her working on her game. That showed as she did not have a great first few games in the debut season of Unrivaled. However, after their 1v1 tournament break, Reese had a brilliant game for Rose BC.

She was efficient and comfortable on the ball while also dominating the boards. Now a clip has gone viral which shows the Sky star working with coaches. She was shooting from various areas of the court and also working on the difficult to master one-legged fadeaway that top players in the WNBA use.

It seems she is taking her own development seriously after Hall of Famer Lisa Leslie mentioned that her layups need fixing. If she does continue with this development, Angel Reese could silence a lot of her critics in her 2nd year in the league.
