WNBA star Angel Reese met Marlon Humphrey during Baltimore Ravens game

With her Chicago Sky’s season ending before the playoffs, star rookie Angel Reese has utilized the time to appear in a lot of events. One of them happened to be at the Baltimore Ravens vs. Buffalo Bills game on September 29th. In that game, the WNBA rookie shook hands with Ravens star Marlon Humphrey, the video of which went on to go viral.

The star cornerback was asked about that exchange on his podcast, Punch Line Podcast with Marlon Humphrey. He recalled the interaction, shedding light on the same.

As I went over there, ‘Oh, Angel Reese’. She’s big time. The guys make fun of me, cause they saying I shook her hand looking up. I did shake some other dude’s hand before. I went to shake Angel Reese’s hand, and he shook my hand.

Marlon Humphrey told her in that conversation that he started watching the WNBA because of her. But here he clarified that it was her LSU-Iowa NCAA Championship game that had him hooked.

The meet-up was made even more awkward, as the Ravens star mentioned, when Washington Wizards rookie and another Baltimore native Bub Carrington barged in to shake his hand. Marlon Humphrey did not even know who the person was until this episode.

But that barge-in handshake made the situation even more awkward. At the end of their meet-up, Angel Reese was seen looking around trying to get a grip of what happened. But she seemed to be enjoying attending the game in between her busy offseason commitments, as the Ravens won convincingly.

Angel Reese’s NFL appearances have helped her teams win

That game was just the start of her NFL game tour. The next week, she returned to her official workplace for another event. But she took the time to also cheer for the Chicago Bears. She again donned a jersey representing her current place of work and cheered them on as they battled against the Carolina Panthers. The Bears won the game, blowing out the lowly Panthers in the process.

The following week, she went back home and decided to attend another Baltimore Ravens game. The Baltimore, Maryland native again donned a custom No. 5 Ravens jersey as she watched them play against the red-hot Washington Commanders. But the Ravens were too much for the upstart Commanders as they won by a one-score lead.

All in all, the three games she attended, and the teams she cheered for ended up winning, giving her a 3-0 record in the NFL when repping teams. A fun fact, but with the entire WNBA offseason in hand, she might end up attending more games as her busy schedule allows her.
