Angel Reese baffled after Unrivaled coach includes her in 100 WNBA players vs 1 Gorilla
Chicago Sky star Angel Reese is well known across the WNBA for her strength and motor as she recorded several feats in her rookie season.

Angel Reese distances herself from battle against gorilla
WNBA and Chicago Sky star Angel Reese is not one to miss any social media trends. The 22-year-old has built a brand on social media and attracts millions of followers. She manages to run her celebrity side along with her development as a basketball player.
Entering season two, the Maryland native is looking to improve on the stellar season she had in the upstart Unrivaled league. There, she was able to unlock some post moves and improve her layups. It was her way of clapping back at haters who have always trolled her layups.
Her performances helped her unheralded Rose team make a run for the playoffs and eventually win the title. One of the major reasons for that win was the confidence Rose HC Nola Henry gave the team. They were underdogs who many believed would finish last.
Now, with the WNBA season about to start, Henry is back with the Dallas Wings. When the Wings social media team asked Henry which players she would feature in a battle against 1 Gorilla, she confidently mentioned Angel Reese‘s name. After watching this clip, the Sky star wrote a reply on X.
Are you crazy? I wouldn’t dare get out there with a gorilla… like are you cool???

The WNBA rebounding phenom is known for her strength and motor. But she is clever enough to avoid any conversations surrounding a battle with a gorilla. Her mentor, Shaquille O’Neal, was named to the NBA team to take on the gorilla, but she would rather stay out of it.
Angel Reese’s new head coach focusing on all areas of development
Angel Reese is entering year two with a different head coach in Tyler Marsh. He is coming over after helping five Las Vegas Aces players develop into All-Stars and Olympic medalists. When reporters asked him what areas he wants his new star forward to develop in, he replied:
Everywhere. There is no limit. We want her to be dynamic, We want her to be able to score inside. We wanna be able to create space for her, to have more one-on-one finishes inside, and not have to play in a crowd. We want to put the ball in her hands on the perimeter and allow her to facilitate and create off the dribble.
Tyler Marsh said
Marsh wants Reese to expand her game. Instead of just focusing on rebounding and inside scoring, he wants her to become a player who can impact the game from anywhere on the floor. That will make her a complete threat instead of just focusing on one aspect.

This should bode well for the Reebok signature athlete. Just having an interior game might limit her effectiveness and her chances of consistently making All-Star teams, as well as possible future Olympic squads. An overall development will make her a dynamic player who will make waves in the WNBA.
Chicago Sky to start preseason at Reese’s alma mater
The 2025 WNBA season is about to start, and Tyler Marsh is busy preparing his team. To make matters easier, the Chicago Sky will play three preseason games. The first is against the Brazilian National Team on May 2nd.
This game will be played at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, home court of the LSU Tigers, the team Angel Reese won a national championship. Tickets are selling fast, and networks are scheduling this game as well as other WNBA preseason games for national broadcast.
The hype surrounding the women’s professional league is at an all-time high, and everyone wants to cash in. Reese and her Sky will take on last season’s finalists, the Minnesota Lynx, in the next two preseason games. By then, the team will get a fair idea of where they stand. Their goal is to have a solid playoff run, and Reese and her teammates’ development will be instrumental in achieving that.
