At a time when WNBA stars are busy trying to offset their paltry salaries with lucrative offseason contracts or gigs, Angel Reese is spending every minute she can with boyfriend Wendell Carter Jr.
It helps that the Chicago Sky star earned $9.4 million during the 2025 calendar year, which makes her one of the highest-earning female professional athletes in the world.
It also helps that the 6′ 3″ forward laid the foundation after her rookie season so that she could earn those millions and more, while also having the luxury to work without having to be public about it.
Even though her critics might believe that Reese is not working on her game or spending time with her boyfriend, who makes a lot more than her from his job, it seems the WNBA superstar had an answer for them.
I had a long day at work. Don’t you love your woman that got five jobs?… You can be like,’I don’t need this, my girl got 15K jobs.’ Can’t you say that?
Angel Reese told Wendell Carter Jr.
This was the 23-year-old wanting her boyfriend, Wendell Carter Jr., to flex with the attitude that his girlfriend has many jobs besides playing in the WNBA.

This claim is a confirmation that Angel Reese is indeed working with her brands, her partners, her foundation, and many more as she continues to blaze a trail as a professional athlete, entrepreneur, and fashionista.
Angel Reese silences critics claiming she was showing off
In the past, whenever Angel Reese has flexed her endorsement deals or anything she has had success with, there have been trolls and critics who find ways to undermine her.

With her asking her Orlando Magic center boyfriend to flex her many jobs, those same trolls and critics came back to slam her for showing off.
What a privilege it is to be overwhelmed by the opportunities I once prayed for.
Angel Reese quoted a fan
This was the WNBA rebounding phenom standing her ground and silencing those critics by making it clear that she considers it a privilege that she has this many jobs.

For someone who has revealed that she, her mother, and her brother did not grow up with much, it is an honor that she is able to use her multiple talents to create what could be generational wealth.
More importantly, she was not being cocky about having multiple jobs. Rather, she was just teasing Wendell Carter Jr. for proudly strutting around with his girl, who at least has a job, unlike many other WAGs who are known to just want to spend the millions athletes earn.
Angel Reese will have to wait a while longer to know when she can resume playing basketball
If one moves Unrivaled out of the discussion, once February trickles in, those not playing basketball usually start working out with personal trainers, or those available at their respective teams.
Since Angel Reese is not playing in the second season of Unrivaled, now would be a good time to start her workouts. Unless she starts now, the two-time All-Star will not have enough time to get into peak shape, while also getting into rhythm with any new skills she learns.
She would now have to wait a while longer to know when she can start working out. That is because the CBA meeting between the league and the players’ union on February 1st did not go as expected.
The players were hoping for a response to their proposal. But according to Annie Costabile of Front Office Sports, they were only informed that a counterproposal was being drafted.
The WNBA & WNBPA met for roughly 3 hrs at the league offices in New York City on Monday. The WNBA showed up without a proposal.

“That kind of set the tone for the conversation because we were hoping to hear otherwise," Nneka Ogwumike told me.https://t.co/jHIbsOKtNN
Even though the league has announced a preliminary schedule, players will not start working on their game until the CBA is finalized. It seems it will be a while before anything comes to fruition.
