WNBA and Chicago Sky star Angel Reese and a girl fan

Before Angel Reese came into the WNBA, she was already a women’s basketball star. Winning an NCAA championship with LSU against Caitlin Clark was the stepping stone. Since then, she has not slowed down as the Chicago Sky star has continued to build her fanbase with every passing month.

That fanbase has seen people of all ages clamoring to meet the WNBA rebounding phenom at every opportunity. Among the ardent ones are those who remember her college basketball days. Days where she was the de facto leader of a squad that needed to instill the ‘dawg’ mentality she proudly carries.

Even though she plays the game in a way grown women do, the 22-year-old has no shortage of young fans. Little girls have already shown their excitement whenever they meet the Chicago Sky star. But one recent video came to her attention that warmed her heart.

The video shows a young girl wearing Angel Reese‘s No. 10 LSU Tigers jersey and shorts. The outfit is complete with Reese’s trademark left full-leg sleeve. She even sports the crown the Maryland native wore during photoshoots after that title-winning game.

The young girl continues to emulate her idol’s dance moves from the LSU Championship-winning 2022-23 season. The most obviously visible one was the star’s taunt at rival Caitlin Clark in that career-defining game. Watching this clip brought some emotion-filled emoticons from Angel Reese as she reposted this clipping on her official X account.

Angel Reese and Reebok sign multi-year deal

As her fans have shown her love, Angel Reese has benefited from the increase in exposure. Her fan following is coming to the notice of companies as they look towards capitalizing on the growing popularity of the WNBA. She has already bagged a few major endorsements so far.

But her crowning deal was when Reebok announced that the star would receive her signature shoe in 2026. She will join the likes of Sabrina Ionescu, A’ja Wilson, and Caitlin Clark, among the few WNBA stars who have their own signature sneakers.

The deal will play out over multiple years and include signature apparel. Naturally, her association with Reebok President of Basketball Shaquille O’Neal helped her sign this deal. The Chicago Sky star has been associated with the sneaker giant since her time at LSU.

Her shoe will come out after Wilson’s and Clark’s, setting her up for an exclusive launch. If she continues to set records like she did until her season-ending injury, more such companies could be lining up outside her door.
