Ever since Angel Reese landed with the Chicago Sky, she has embraced the city as her 2nd home. She knows that as long as she is a member of the franchise, she will be the de facto leader of the team. Hence, that comes along with that comes a lot of responsibilities towards their fans and the community.

The 23-year-old made waves earlier this season after purchasing a house in Chicago. By fulfilling her dream, she also reinforced the notion that she will be a part of the city going forward, despite having most of her businesses out of her hometown of Maryland.

After breaking multiple records last season, Reese now has the stature to command respect in Chicago. Along with the amount of money she earns from her endorsement deals, the star forward decided to give back to this community.

She collaborated with Cash App to fund 2 basketball courts at Oakwood Beach, Chicago, Illinois, replete with four baskets each and lighting. Excited by this official announcement, the current WNBA Rebounding leader took to X to rejoice.

New court in Chicago! So blessed to able to do this in a second city that I can now call HOME!

The superstar is grateful she is also able to give back to the community that is showing her all the love. Angel Reese is continuing the tradition that this new generation of WNBA athletes has started after Caitlin Clark sponsored basketball courts in Iowa.

Reese is also helping the community back home in Maryland after teaming up with NBA legend Magic Johnson to educate high schoolers on finance. She knows how difficult it is for the average person to have a guide when it comes to their personal finances.

Angel Reese celebrates LSU teammate’s stellar game

Angel Reese is as competitive as a top-tier women’s basketball player can be. She also gets excited when one of her own does well elsewhere. The Chicago Sky forward has two of her former LSU teammates in the league. One is Sky teammate Hailey Van Lith. The other plays for the Connecticut Sun.

PRETTY GRITTY. GO NEES!

This was the 23-year-old’s reaction when she saw rookie Aneesah Morrow deliver her best performance so far. Reese was happy that Morrow’s performances were an indication of what she could deliver for the struggling Sun.

Despite falling to an early deficit, the Connecticut-based team rallied around their young stars, with Jacy Sheldon, Olivia Nelson-Ododa, Morrow, and fellow rookie Saniya Rivers leading the charge. It should give the beleaguered team a look at possibly shifting towards their young players down the line.

Angel Reese and her Sky could take away pointers from Sun’s loss

Angel Reese notched her first career triple-double in the Chicago Sky’s win over her LSU teammate’s Connecticut Sun. Then they lost their next game against the Washington Mystics despite leading by 14 points at separate instances in the 1st half.

If Reese and her teammates were paying attention, they could take away something despite the Sun’s loss to the Phoenix Mercury. The Sky next play the Sun, who will be playing their third game in four days. This will be the perfect opportunity for the Sky to start winning again.

The Sun displayed that a team can have a go at the star-studded Mercury if they can keep their consistency. Reese and her teammates struggled with consistency in their loss to the Mystics. If they can take pointers from the Connecticut Sun, they should not have a problem taking the game to the Mercury at home.
