Angel Reese calls out Kahlea Copper

Angel Reese and the Rose BC are no longer messing around in the Unrivalled League. After a weak start to the season, Rose BC have climbed up to the 3rd spot on the standings following their 71-63 win over Mist BC. After the game, Reese and her teammate Kahleah Copper got into some friendly jabs at each other, showcasing the team’s morale in the locker room.

The exchange between Copper and Reese started with the Phoenix Mercury star throwing jabs at the Chi-Town Barbie for ‘stealing’ her rebound. Angel Reese countered with her own jab, blaming Copper for missing a three-point shot that would have helped Reese improve her stat line with another assist. “Girl bye. you messed up my assist on the 3,” Reese tweeted.

Reese and Kahleah Copper were both instrumental in helping Rose BC secure their 3rd win of the season. The Bayou Barbie recorded a solid 12 points and 6 rebounds, along with an assist and a steal in just 11 minutes of action. While she did not finish the game for Rose BC in the fourth quarter, she looked solid on the floor while she was playing.

Copper, on the other hand, was the star of the show. She finished with a game-high 21 points, 10-21 shooting in 14 minutes. She provided crucial scoring for Rose BC down the stretch of the game, allowing them to handily defeat the Breanna Stewart and Jewel Lloyd-led Mist BC. As the back and forth between Angel Reese and Kahleah Copper suggests, team spirits are running high in their locker room.

Angel Reese loses teammate in Chicago Sky’s latest trade

After finishing Angel Reese’s rookie season with a 13-27 record, the Chicago Sky are turning up the heat on improving their roster. Annie Costabile of the Chicago Sun-Times reported Friday that the Sky are set to trade veteran Dana Evans to the Las Vegas Aces for two second-round picks. The 26-year-old Evans, who is set to enter her 5th season in the WNBA, averaged 7.2 points off the bench for the Sky.

With the Sky looking to make some major trades as the WNBA offseason continues, the picks acquired in the deal by the Jeff Pagliocca-led front office will be key in packing together for trades. With Reese’s rival, Caitlin Clark, setting her sights on contending for a title with the Indiana Fever’s active offseason moves, Reese will hope that the Sky are able to put together some solid pieces around her.

Angel Reese put up solid numbers in her rookie season, averaging 13.6 points and a league-leading 13.1 rebounds per game. She was engaged in a tight race for the Rookie of the Year award with Clark before suffering a season-ending injury in the final stretch of her rookie year.
