Angel Reese has improved her play in her sophomore season, but the Chicago Sky have struggled to play better than last season. The star forward is also out with a back injury, which has compounded matters for her team as they look to get out of this slump.
Even if she returns, the 23-year-old must be fully aware that it will take a monumental task, and a bit of luck with other teams’ losses to make it to the playoffs. Moreover, the other teams fighting for that 8th spot are in better form than the Sky.
Reese and her PR team might already be going over offseason plans. Other than a slim chance of being called for CBA meetings, Angel Reese should be free to do a lot of things after September 11th.
After her rookie season, she initially went on vacation, rested at home, and then started to build her brand. Last season, fashion, appearances at music concerts, and comedy shows were on the agenda. This time, something else is in the works.
Just let me know if you need me for season 2.

Rebecca Cutter is the showrunner and creator of the hit series, ‘Hunting Wives’. The series premiered on July 21st, and the Sky forward wrote on X how amazed she was watching it. This post came to the attention of Cutter, who was surprised that a WNBA superstar was a fan of the show.
Angel Reese could add Netflix to her resume
Since Angel Reese openly expressed an interest in playing a role as and when season 2 of Hunting Wives was in the works, Rebecca Cutter could not contain her excitement at this possibility.
On it my queen.
Rebecca Cutter’s reply
This reply sparked some discussions on that comment trail with many fans handing out suggestions. The 23-year-old is not an accomplished actor. Therefore, the most the production might look at is a cameo.

One fan suggested that Reese could appear as a college basketball player when one of the characters, Brad, is at Baylor University. Cutter agreed that such a scene could be possible.
Okay that could work…

If indeed Cutter creates such a scene, it would be the first time Angel Reese appears on Netflix as an actor, and not just as part of a documentary. The arrangement could help Reese get her feet wet in acting.
Angel Reese’s return to court uncertain
Production for season 2 of Hunting Wives might not begin until next year, as a lot of planning and preparation go into it. Right now, Angel Reese is in the midst of her sophomore WNBA season, and wants to end it in the best way possible.

Her back injury has already seen her miss 5 games, where the Sky lost 4 of them. The Chicago Sky have not specified any particular timeline, which means she is out indefinitely.
Whenever a team mentions that their player is out indefinitely, it means they are not sure how the said athlete will respond to recovery. It is similar to how Caitlin Clark’s recovery has been.
With just 15 games remaining in the regular season, time is running out on the Sky’s chance of making the playoffs. There are 3 teams above them in the standings, and all three are in better form than they have been.
Even if the Chicago Sky catch fire, it would be a Herculean task to win enough games to reach the 8th spot. It will be difficult without their most important player. Reese still leads the team in points, rebounds, and assists.
