The WNBA draft lottery took place earlier to determine which teams would pick in what order. Angel Reese represented her Chicago Sky, only to end up picking at the third spot. However, it now means she would be in a position to have one of her former LSU Tigers as her teammate again.

The Chicago Sky have Reese and Kamilla Cardoso manning the interior. On top of that, if they choose to keep Chennedy Carter, their position of need would be at small forward as the team have depth at point guard and need that additional scorer.

That meant, the obvious answer could be to draft LSU senior forward Aneesah Morrow. A strong presence on both offense and defense who can help her new teammates in their quest to reach the playoffs. Angel Reese made her views about the same with a social media post.

The post from the WNBA rebounding phenom suggests she would rather take another former LSU teammate and current TCU leading superstar Hailey Van Lith. This may come as a surprise to some, but the 22-year-old forward has opened up recently about her issues with another former teammate.

It is not known if Reese has issues with Morrow or other LSU teammates. Van Lith was vocal in her support of the Sky star after she poured her heart out after her final college basketball game. Reese’s post also was an ode to her former teammate finding her feet at TCU after struggling at LSU late last season.

Angel Reese shouts out Hailey Van Lith’s stellar play for TCU

Hailey Van Lith came into the spotlight last season after her reaction to Caitlin Clark‘s scoring against them. That particular reaction brought some bad light on a player who was once considered one of the best in college.

Even her play for LSU last season drew criticism as she could not continue her scoring form from Louisville. That forced Van Lith to postpone her WNBA dreams and entered the transfer portal to join the TCU Horned Frogs.

Van Lith was steadily improving her chemistry with her new teammates as they continued to win games. They faced 13th ranked NC State in their game last night. She played well to notch a double double while leading her team to their win against a ranked team.

A social media post of Van Lith in tears learning of her double double was doing the rounds. Angel Reese reposted it to her account. She might have felt that her former teammate deserves the retribution after struggling last season.

But it could also mean that her post about Van Lith was regarding her performances on the court. The 2025 WNBA Draft will be held on April 14, 2025. Until then, fans will remain in the dark about what the 22-year-old’s post actually meant.
