The Chicago Sky star has a strong presence on social media, and in her typical fashion, she retweeted a fan’s post featuring her brother. The post included a picture of Mikael Hopkins and a selfie of the two siblings. The fan praised Reese’s brother, who had flown under the internet’s radar. Playfully joining in, Reese slyly mentioned that both her brothers are quite tall.

Angel Reese and her younger brother Julian Reese were raised by their mother, Webb Reese. Reese’s parents split early when the Sky player was young, with her mother being the sole caregiver. In response, a fan jokingly tweeted about Reese’s grocery bills, referring to her “giant children.” Reese humorously replied, saying that was why their college not being free was a deal breaker.

Angel Reese’s family has roots in basketball

Chicago Sky promising rookie Angel Reese comes from a family of athletes. Apparently, both of Reese’s parents were basketball players while they were at college. Not just that, her mother even went for a professional career in Luxembourg.

Her younger brother, Julian, also plays basketball at the collegiate level. Meanwhile her older brother has been playing for the Hungary men’s national basketball team since 2022. Reese also has a connection to the New Orleans Pelicans star, Jordan Hawkins.

She revealed her grandparents and aunt played basketball as well, which made her continue the legacy. With all the basketball sensations around her, it remains to be seen what else Reese achieves after her—although cut short due to wrist injury—record breaking rookie season.
