Last year, Angel Reese used her offseason to build her brand. From appearances at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show to comedy shows and other platforms, her marketing strategy was successful.
The Chicago Sky superstar ended up signing massive endorsement deals with some of the biggest consumer brands in the country. No wonder she claimed not to know her WNBA salary.
The 23-year-old has stated time and again that fashion is something that she connects with. That is why she ensures she does not miss out on any opportunity that comes her way.
The 6′ 3″ forward made sure to star at this year’s Met Gala, then jump on a plane back to Chicago, get as little rest as she could, and then help her Sky win their pre-season game against the Minnesota Lynx.
Now that she is in her 2nd offseason, many expected the star forward to take the next step in her attempts to be a name in the fashion world. Last week, a major announcement shook WNBA fans.
Angel Reese revealed that she was going to be the first-ever professional athlete to walk the runway for this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Earlier today, her dream to walk the ramp for a major fashion label came true.
The Maryland native first drew cheers walking the ramp wearing a pink two-piece lingerie set, along with a cut-out top. She was also sporting the label’s famous angel wings.

In her second walk, she sported a different lingerie set, this time replete with a thick fur stole, all adorned with pink roses. Reese slayed both walks, drawing a big round of applause from the crowd.
Angel Reese reiterates that one can be multi-talented like herself
This past WNBA season, Angel Reese posted better numbers despite focusing more on developing her playmaking skills. Along with her talent on the basketball court, the Chicago Sky star has used her skills in other areas. She believes no one should be restricted to one avenue.

You can put your mind to anything that you want to do. You can be multidimensional. I play basketball, I’m an athlete. I’m a model, I’m an entrepreneur, I’m a businesswoman, I’m a fashion girl, I’m a podcaster, I’m everything that you want to say, I’m a Barbie doll… Manifest everything.

She added that when she sat in the crowd watching the models walk during the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, she manifested herself being a model for the brand sometime down the line.

That has come true, and so have the other things she put her mind into. Reese believes anyone who manifests the right way can do whatever they want.
Angel Reese vibed with supermodels backstage
Angel Reese said this before the show started. After her interview, she mingled with the other supermodels who were set to walk the runway.
She particularly had a great time with transgender model and influencer Alex Consani. Reese was seen helping Consani with her makeup, and also clicked photographs together.
The basketball star walked the ramp alongside some of the best supermodels in the business such as, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Gigi Hadid, and others.

Reese was grateful for the opportunity, and had her mother and entire team in attendance. If she becomes a mainstay in the fashion world, the WNBA rebounding phenom can open avenues that could help her create a global impression.
Naturally, Angel Reese was the tallest model on stage, with the shortest being Paris Olympics medalist and gymnastics star Suni Lee. Along with them, singer Madison Beer also walked the ramp.
