Angel Reese has shown no signs of slowing down in the WNBA after her exploits with Team USA at the FIBA World Cup. She came off the bench in all six games at the World Cup and played an instrumental role in leading the second-unit team.
The power forward led the Atlanta Dream to a convincing 106-81 victory over the Chicago Sky at the State Farm Arena on Saturday night. Reese delivered a dominant performance, recording her 31st double-double of the campaign.
It was their second straight win after the World Cup, following a demolition of the Connecticut Sun on Thursday night. The win improved their record to 28-14 as they sit at fourth place in the standings. Meanwhile, the Sky dropped to 12th place and are already out of playoff contention.
Following her incredible performance against the Sun, Angel Reese ended her night against her former team with 23 points to go along with 10 rebounds and three blocks in just 28 minutes. During the game, she became the first-ever WNBA star to grab 500 rebounds in a single season

Her performances this season, especially in the past few months, have seen many put her in the MVP conversation and some even see her as a legitimate contender for the Defensive Player of the Year award. She could not have asked for a better moment to make WNBA history as it came against the team that drafted her. This week has been one for the books for Reese.
