Not many days go by when Angel Reese does not surprise her fans with a new collaboration. This time it was a fangirl moment for the WNBA star as well, as she bumped into ‘Queen’ Rihanna. While at it, Reese also expressed a wish, only to be granted less than seconds later.

Angel Reese stopped in New York for the 2024 Footwear News Achievement Awards on Wednesday. Ritualistically, she asked her followers to check her Instagram story for a surprise. Little did they know, they would find a video of the Chicago Sky rookie with the popstar.

In one of the many clips, Reese was heard telling Rihanna about her wish to work with her. Not more than a couple seconds later the Fenty beauty owner revealed she was up for the idea.

The two celebrities held the fire with their stunning fits. Angel Reese went all-black with an oversized blazer over a mesh corset top and shorts. To match that, Reese flaunted her new hair, while Rihanna dressed in contrasting white.

Reese also added another trophy to her collection as she proceeded to win an award for her unique style. Assuredly, Reese is successfully making a name for herself outside the WNBA world.

The Footwear News Achievement Award is considered the Academy Award for shoes. Likely so, Rihanna wasn’t the only A-notch celebrity Reese met at the event. She also posted a couple of clips with Rihanna’s rapper boyfriend A$AP Rocky.

Angel Reese wins Style Influencer of the Year

Outside the WNBA world, Angel Reese is widely popular with the style enthusiasts. Oftentimes, she makes the headlines for her bold outfits and intriguing choices. This time around, she received recognition for it as well.

Angel Reese was awarded the 2024 FNAA Style Influencer of the Year as she sat beside Rihanna. The Sky rookie, as mentioned in her acceptance speech, is just beginning her climb to the top of the ladder. Reese also announced her signature shoe with Reebok which is set to launch in 2026.

Angel Reese was invited to the Met Gala earlier this year. Additionally, she spent her WNBA offseason showing her presence at various glamorous events. One such instance was her attendance at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, as well as the CFDA Fashion Awards.
