There was a time when Angel Reese made it clear that she was not going to get into another public relationship. That changed after she and Orlando Magic star Wendell Carter Jr. started toying with fans.
It all started when the NBA star appeared on Run It Back and, when asked about the rumors linking him to one of the most popular women athletes in the world, he referred to her as a ‘homie’.
Reese toed the line even when the 23-year-old forward and her mother traveled with Carter Jr. on the Magic’s two European games. Next, it was the NBA’s best candid interviewer, Jenny Fischer, who gave basketball fans some great clips from the Paris Olympics, to try her luck.
When she asked Wendell Carter Jr. about his latest Instagram post, where he shows off his latest fit and subtly mentions that he was thankful to his personal stylist, he replied:
Styled by my personal stylist. And instead of the S, I used the number 5. I have a personal stylist, you know, in-home. Don’t have to pay her, so just giving her a shout out. I think us both being tall individuals and being able to wear nice clothes and putting it together really, really good, I think is a plus.

Even the NBA’s official X handle tagged Angel Reese in this post, as it was no longer a secret that she and Wendell Carter Jr. were in a relationship. It’s just that their coy style is helping them stay together without being the center of attention.

This was another subtle hint at how she is playing along with the Orlando Magic star. Even though the latter has confirmed that the two stay together, the WNBA rebounding phenom does not want to put it in official words, which tends to stop all the fun.

Angel Reese has long been in relationships with quite a few athletes. She has reiterated that she does not want to settle with someone shorter than her, which means her area of interest would remain with other professional athletes.
It seems she and Wendell Carter Jr., who stands at 6′ 10″, are good for each other, as she has a stable person beside her who understands what it is to be a professional basketball player in this era.
Angel Reese-less Unrivaled records highest-ever attendance for a women’s basketball game
Angel Reese’s fans initially thought she walked away from a chance to defend her Rose BC’s Unrivaled championship due to her need to rest and recover from the injury that ended her second WNBA season early.

The league struggled initially with viewership, but then moved to Philadelphia as part of its effort to expand its reach beyond Miami, where it plays most of its games.
They chose to play in the Xfinity Mobile Arena, home of the Philadelphia 76ers and the Villanova Wildcats. When kitted out in basketball trim, the arena has a maximum capacity of 21,000.
However, during the Unrivaled double-header at the arena earlier, they breached that limit. With a registered attendance of 21,490 people, the league set a record for any women’s basketball regular-season game in history.

This number also exceeds what the 76ers have ever achieved, and bodes well for the future when the city gets its WNBA franchise in 2030. What surprised the rest of the country is how Unrivaled managed to do it without the WNBA’s two biggest stars, Reese and Caitlin Clark.
