With the WNBA’s CBA nowhere close to being decided, Angel Reese is making the most of her offseason, focusing on her personal and family life.

After her rookie campaign, the Chicago Sky star spent most of her time building her brand. That effort has seemingly paid off as the 23-year-old has become a regular in the world of fashion and is also a budding investor.

With millions flowing into her bank accounts, the Maryland native is now spending as much time with her boyfriend, Wendell Carter Jr., before she needs to get back to work.

For someone who has been traveling to locations with her NBA star boyfriend, it was not a surprise when she was one of the people on the Orlando Magic’s team plane to Berlin, Germany.

Angel Reese also ensured her mother came along for the ride, although it is not clear if Angel Reese Sr. traveled with the team. Then, when the entire NBA entourage moved to London for the second leg of the league’s European games, the Reeses were present too.

One of the clips from the game in the O2 Arena shows Detroit Pistons great Isiah Thomas walking up to where the two Reeses were sitting, and hugging the WNBA star.

Michael Jordan‘s fierce rival then exchanged a few words with Angel Reese and also had hugs for her mother. From the clip it is evident that the Chicago Sky star, who stands at 6′ 3″, is towering over 6′ 1″ Hall of Famer, albeit with the assistance of some heels.

Angel Reese and fans sing ‘Sweet Caroline’ in London

The game between the Orlando Magic and the Memphis Grizzlies did not go as planned, as the latter built up a massive lead and held on to it until the end.

Other than Ja Morant‘s heroics, there was nothing much to add to the highlight reel tape. Angel Reese’s boyfriend’s team, the Orlando Magic, in particular, probably just wanted the game to end so that they could return home.

However, the O2 Arena decided to do its best to keep fans engaged even though the game was a lopsided affair. To do so, one of the songs they played through the arena speakers was Neil Diamond‘s ‘Sweet Caroline.’

Coming out in 1969, this song is an evergreen classic, and almost everyone who has heard it once will remember its tune and the lyrics. That was evident when someone born more than three decades later was able to sing along.

Angel Reese, through her social media pages, released a clip showing her, along with her mother, signing along with the legion of fans inside O2 Arena.

It seems the two women were having the time of their lives, even though the Chicago Sky rebounding phenom‘s better half was not having one such moment with his team.

Angel Reese and WNBA peers have to wait until CBA is signed

Had the new CBA been signed, Angel Reese might have resumed her workouts with her Chicago Sky coaches. Since everyone is still waiting for the next deal, most teams are waiting to see what rosters they have to work with.

On a personal front, Angel Reese would be wise to start working out in February, as USA Basketball will be traveling to South America to take part in the qualifiers. It will be a good experience to get some game time with other players under her belt.

After that, the LSU star will need to rush back to Chicago and start working with next season in mind. Whenever it starts, Angel Reese ought to be in her best shape and in playing form.

The Sky’s future depends on her, and if she fails to move the needle for her team this year, it will be difficult for them to think of a future with Angel Reese leading her teammates.
