Angel Reese recently celebrated an iconic 22nd birthday at the Met Gala red carpet. At this age, the Chicago Sky star has achieved plenty of milestones in her career, including some of the most illustrious NIL deals. While all of that persists, she continue making waves in her podcast where her latest guest teased her of her growing age.

Angel Reese‘s podcast Unapologetically Angel has featured several high-profile celebrities before her most recent arrival, Michael Rainey. The 24-year-old actor and comedian share a very friendly relationship with the podcaster, as seen in the episode.

In a clip shared on X from the official handle of the podcast, Reese mocked Rainey of ‘almost old age’, as she told all her friends who were 25 and above. Little did she know the jab would come back to her when her guest reminded her that two years down the line, she would be in his shoes. Rainey proceeded to call her soon-to-be ‘auntie’, sending the listeners in a frenzy.

The entire episode followed the two continuing their back and forth. Reese also invited Rainey to watch her play in the upcoming WNBA season starting May. The Unrivaled star had an incredible rookie season in 2024 that was cut short due to an ACL tear. Since averaging 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds, Angel Reese garnered a reputation for great potential. After a while, she was chosen to be a part of the Rose BC in the Unrivaled League.

Both Michael Rainey and Angel Reese are upcoming greats in their respective fields. After making a name for herself in the basketball world, the latter took a step in the fashion world, gaining several prolific invitations. She has also molded her star power to be beneficial for her, the podcast being a shred of evidence. Meanwhile, Rainey, transitioning from a child actor, received his first NAACP Image Award last year.

On Tuesday, April 1, the WNBA star took the runway to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York for the McDonald’s All-American Game. She made waves sitting courtside with Speedy Morman, GloRilla, and Michael Rainey. While she did not take the court, she was named the MVP in the style criteria.

Angel Reese donned a floor-length fur coat over a brown bodysuit matched by her Nine West pumps. She further accessorized it with Chanel glasses, a Bottega Veneta clutch, and kept her hair half updo. Shedding some light on her style, she chose versatile over simple. For her first preference she liked to go vintage. All her fashion choices had inspirations from the pop industry. Specifically, she mentioned Rihanna and Teyana Taylor to be her style icons.

This wasn’t the first time Angel Reese had attended one of the events from McDonald’s. Recently, the food giant announced her to be their first-ever female athlete collaborator, where she released her meal. Notably, this wasn’t her only major endorsement. In the near past, she has shaken hands with brands like Reese’s, Beats By Dre, and even Reebok, with whom she has her signature shoe coming in 2026.
