Angel Reese has been making waves ever since her WNBA debut season ended early. The Chicago Sky star has utilized her offseason to build her brand, enjoy sporting events and attend shows. But when the WNBA Finals came about, she ensured she took the time off to make it to Brooklyn to attend Game 5.
Generally, in the sporting world, one player loyal to a team does not usually go to the game of another team. If they do, it is either because they have a sibling or relative playing or coaching. Just like Dallas Wings star Satou Sabally, who turned up to watch her sister Nyara play. But Angel Reese had no reason to be at the WNBA Finals, especially as a rival.
Barstool Sports panel were talking about the WNBA Finals on their podcast when it was brought to the attention of President Dave Portnoy that Angel Reese was present—that too, sporting a split dress featuring the jerseys of both competing teams. Hearing this he had to give his opinion.

Portnoy’s colleagues were livid when seeing a player of another team was wearing the jerseys of others, one being a conference rival and potentially future playoff opponent. The businessman did clarify that he did not watch the Finals, but was still not happy with what Angel Reese did.
Dave Portnoy continues slamming Angel Reese’s activities
The 47-year-old was not done talking about Angel Reese. He has often held a negative view about the WNBA rookie as she happens to be Caitlin Clark‘s rival. He did mention that Clark won’t condone what he was about to say, but he carried on slamming the 22-year-old.
She’s a rookie in the league, whose team sucked. She won’t shut up about herself, who ran their best player out of town. The coach got fired. And she started a podcast 5 seconds into the thing, creating all this controversy.

Dave Portnoy added on that unlike the Chicago Sky star, Caitlin Clark was in the gym working on her game. But all Angel Reese has been doing so far is building her brand, which has come under criticism from other celebrities as well. Meanwhile, Angel Reese, so far, seems to be unbothered about it.
