Angel Reese famously won the NCAA Championship alongside stud teammates Flau’jae Johnson and Aneesah Morrow. In that game, Reese and Johnson embraced after toppling Caitlin Clark and Iowa which ended being the start of their rivalry and the subsequent discourse.

Since then, Angel Reese and Clark have been billed as rivals in the WNBA. They have even tried to shrug it off, but fans have taken sides bashing the other on social media. In fact, the WNBA is trying to milk the narrative by scheduling five games for their upcoming season.

During LSU’s battle of unbeaten teams against South Carolina today, Johnson was trying to lead her team back to tie the game. During a timeout, ESPN’s Holly Rowe was speaking with commentators when they were analyzing how Johnson has elevated her game this season. To this Rowe revealed.

She’s been working a lot in the offseason with some pretty high-profile training partners, Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers. She said she’s learning a ton from Caitlin. One of the tips that’s meant most to her is on playing fast but reading the defense slow.

The ESPN reporter added that Flau’jae Johnson has also learnt from Paige Bueckers on how to play with pace and tempo along with working on her music. The LSU star has taken those lessons to heart and has elevated her game to being one of the best in college basketball.

WNBA Hall of Famer wants Flau’jae Johnson and Caitlin Clark on 3×3 team

Flau’jae Johnson is athletic, fast and has a sweet shooting stroke. Coupled with the lessons from Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers on floor awareness, reading the defense and taking high efficiency shots has helped her. After hearing Holly Rowe reveal her offseason training, Hall of Famer Rebecca Lobo said.

First of all, I want that to be a three-on-three team: Paige, Caitlin, and Flau’jae?

Rebecca Lobo said

Johnson plays with pace, athleticism and skill. Clark plays with pace, skill and floor awareness. Bueckers has awareness, skill, efficiency to go along with great defense. No wonder Rebecca Lobo was excited by the prospect of the three of them playing together on a 3×3 team.

Bueckers and Johnson are already investors in Unrivaled League and will join them whenever they turn pro. If the league can get Clark to sign on that monster offer, Lobo’s vision could become a reality. That trio could be a problem for opposing defenses.
