The WNBA rebounding phenom is about to walk the ramp on October 15th in New York. Pics of her initial photoshoot have since gone viral as she sports a two-piece kit flanked by the trademark angel wings.

Angel Reese will create history for the Victoria’s Secret brand when she walks the runway as the first professional athlete to do so. It would be the culmination of what she manifested last year.

It’s such a surreal and full-circle moment — just last year I was in the audience manifesting being on that runway, completely inspired and in awe of all the powerful women walking down the runway, and now I get to return as an Angel. This means she set her eyes on the runway when she was sitting in the audience last year alongside A-list celebrities. Now, she will add another feather to her cap after successfully launching her signature shoe, the Reebok AR-1’s just a few weeks ago.

The 23-year-old also told People Magazine that she is ‘excited’ to share the ramp with OG Adriana Lima, along with the other models. She has looked up to Victoria’s Secret legends Gisele Bundchen and Tyra Banks as her role models.

Reese wrapped up her second season in the WNBA a few weeks ago. She has since kept quiet as controversies surrounding her future became the talk of the league.

She eventually returned to the public eye through her Unapologetically Angel podcast and decided to air her exit interview on her terms. After that episode, it seems she shot another one with actor Common, and since then, has been busy practicing her ramp walk.

A video clip was shared on social media showing the Chicago Sky star working with a trainer for nearly two weeks. Since it would be her first walk down a runway, they had to work her from the ground up.

The 6′ 3″ star has set aside her basketball shoes and donned heels to get a grip on her task. All that practice will be handy when she steps onto the big stage in a few days.
