LeBron James and Anthony Davis

In a video that’s gone viral and posted on social media by the Los Angeles Lakers, Anthony Davis and other Lakers players were asked to guess a young fan named Avrie’s painting. Funnily, the “masterpiece” was of LeBron James and his hairline, which gave it away.

Anthony Davis guessed it was LeBron James and then mentioned what gave it away. Furthermore, he sarcastically referenced the artwork to that of legendary artiste Picasso

He's kind of going like bald right there, and I kind of see the resemblance. So that's what really gave it away. Everything else, it was tough. But the hair? Right away, Bron. This is like Picasso’s work right here. You did a phenomenal job. You really hit it with the hair.
Anthony Davis said

However, James couldn’t get any guesses off, but when it was revealed it was him and his hairline that was the prominent feature of the piece, his facial expressions said it all.

That is me? Oh my god, that is my hair. Oh, that is not right! I know I’m losing my hair, but d*mm, they ain't have to have me looking like Homer Simpson!

Furthermore, while some may choose not to see the humor in the joke, it’s glad to see the positive vibes among the Lakers’ players, which shows how friendly the locker room is. However, King James wasn’t too delighted that his balding was referenced; it’s just a sign of nature as he isn’t the young star that lit up the league during the early 2000s.

Moreover, his longevity should be studied as he has still been a shining light in the Lakers’ darkest hour this season, alongside partner-in-crime Anthony Davis. Adding to his phenomenal season that has seen him average 28.4 points, 9.2 assists, and 6.4 rebounds per game and become the first player in NBA history to clock 40k points

LeBron James still loves to compete against the next generation of ballers

Despite his receding hairline giving away his age, his performance on the court night after night outrightly tells a different story. He proved that age is still a number when he came up with 37 points, five assists, nine rebounds, and two steals in the 123-120 away win.

However, he has had to deal with the injury problems that come with age. A stubborn left ankle injury has occasionally seen his game time managed.

Furthermore, as the league’s oldest player at 39 years and in his 21st season in the NBA, he’s had the opportunity to face the league’s youngest player, Memphis Grizzlies GG Jackson II. James, who hasn’t announced his retirement plans yet, may even play in his 22nd season as he aims to get his wishes to play with his eldest son Bronny, who recently declared for the 2024 NBA draft.
