While attempting to guide the Minnesota Timberwolves to the postseason, 23-year-old Anthony Edwards seemed to have more important things to attend to off the court. Recently, there have been rumors that the three-time All-Star tried to pay more than $1 million in child support at once. This is about the child with social media influencer Ayesha Howard.

Due to these rumors, Howard is called a ‘gold-digger’ by NBA fans. This did not sit well with Howard, and she turned to the internet to address this. Edwards reportedly stated that he has no desire to be involved in his child’s life, and social media has taken over those rumors. But they were strongly denied by Ayesha Howard. She asserted that Edwards never made her such an offer, and she never accepted it.

And now that I am yet in another situation where I have a child with another successful basketball player(Anthony Edwards) there is not telling you guys that I’m not a gold digger.

Ayesha Howard said

There are no court documents, motions, or proceedings that have occurred, nor have I been offered or agreed to such terms.

Anthony Edwards earned $45 million between 2020 and 2024. Also, he is going to earn close to $245 million on his most recent contract, which runs through 2029. These numbers might have led many people to assume that Edwards paid the entire amount of child support at once.

Returning to the Howard issue, the Wolves star had already given up his paternity and visitation rights a few months after the birth of his daughter Aubri. So even if someone puts the suspicions to rest, it doesn’t imply that Edwards intends to spend the rest of his life with her or their child.

Anthony Edwards petitioned Ayesha Howard regarding paternity support

Anthony Edwards asked influencer Ayesha Howard to perform a paternity test in 2024 so that could prove he was the father of one of her sons. Page Six reported that the court will test Howard’s DNA, that of Edwards, and that of the child in question. Additionally, he requested Georgia law to calculate child support, where he stated Howard lived.

However, Howard claimed to have relocated to California before giving birth and filed her case there. In February 2025, a judge declared that California lacked jurisdiction over the child support issue and sent the case back to Georgia.

Interestingly, Edwards claimed in the document that he didn’t ask baby Aubri for custody or visitation rights. To decide how the lawsuit will continue, a custody hearing was set for March 20, 2025. There has been no update on this matter further. One thing is clear: Edwards will have to resort to this issue as soon as he can before focusing on his professional career.

Anthony Edwards had ‘children’ with multiple women

Recently, Anthony Edwards became the father of several children. Netflix’s ‘Starting 5’ featured a brief clip of Edwards racing out of a Timberwolves game at halftime to attend the birth of his daughter, one of these children, with his partner Shannon.

Furthermore, a lady named Ally D asserted that a month before the birth of their purported son, Edwards had a girl with another woman. She went on to say that Edwards had a third child during this period, while other media outlets have not yet confirmed this.

Family and paternity issues are very important, but Anthony Edwards’s private affairs are equally significant. Furthermore, he does not have to disclose to the public or media what transpires in his private life. However, there will be worries that things like this can divert him from playing in the NBA.
