“Imma keep lacing that b**ch!” Anthony Edwards gives BLUNT message to rivals not respecting his shooting
Anthony Edwards delivered an NSFW interview warning opposing defenses, following another big shooting game against the Trailblazers.

Anthony Edwards talks about his shooting prowess
Anthony Edwards has been shooting absolutely lights out to start the NBA season. The AntMan had made a name for himself as one of the best slashing guards in the league with his slithering drives and athletic finishes. However, to start the 2024-25 season, Edwards has been lacing up the ball, leading the league in shooting from downtown.
After another big night against the Portland Trailblazers, Edwards had a message for opposing defenses. Anthony Edwards lit up the Target Center in Minnesota with his shooting on Friday night. Edwards finished the game with 37 points, shooting an unreal 9-15 from downtown.
The Timberwolves easily trumped the Blazers, winning the contest 102-127. After the game, Edwards was asked about opposing defenders continuing to go under screens on his pull-up shooting. Here’s what he had to say:
I really be surprised at this point. I made like two threes in the first quarter today and then in the third…I came out and made one and they just kept going under. I’m like, alright, I’mma keep shooting this b**ch.

AntMan did not hold back in another one of his unfiltered postgame interviews. Anthony Edwards called out defenders who still choose to go under screens on his shooting from downtown. Edwards has maintained a heavy-shot diet of contested pull-up jumpers as defenses continue to give him space at the top of the key.
To his praise, Anthony Edwards has been absolutely scorching from downtown. Edwards currently leads the league in made threes, averaging almost 5.6 per game so far into the season.
He has also been doing so with unreal efficiency, lacing the nets at nearly 48% from downtown. The shooting jump from Edwards is unprecedented, as he has been at 35-36% from downtown throughout his career. However, his emergence as a long-range threat has been a major development for the Timberwolves.
Anthony Edwards suffers injury scare
Anthony Edwards dominated much of the game on Friday night with his long-distance shooting. As the Timberwolves improved to 6-3 on the season, the only concern for Wolves fans is the status of Edwards.
During the game on Friday, Edwards seemed to tweak his ankle on a regular offensive possession. He had to exit the game after the injury.

Thankfully for Wolves fans, Anthony Edwards returned to the game soon after, following some medical attention from the team. The Wolves are set to take on the Miami Heat on Nov 11 for their next encounter.
Early indications seem to suggest that Edwards’ injury will not hamper him much further. However, ankle injuries are tricky to deal with, as there could be some inflammation to the injury after cooling down.
