Anthony Edwards files for a paternity test against Lil Baby’s ex-girlfriend Ayesha Howard
Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has reportedly filed a petition for paternity and child support, seeking to confirm if he is the biological father of a child with social media influencer Ayesha Howard. Howard, who is also known for having a child with rapper Lil Baby, has been brought to court by Edwards for genetic testing to establish paternity.
According to the report by Page Six, the court documents were filed in Georgia in September, and it indicated that a status conference was set for November 13. However, neither Anthony Edwards nor Howard has made any public statements regarding the ongoing legal case.
If genetic testing shows that the petitioner is the father, the petitioner requests an order establishing the minor child’s paternity.

In the same docuseries, a memorable moment was captured when Edwards rushed out of a Timberwolves game to witness the birth of his daughter with his girlfriend, Shannon.
Last season a woman named Ally D had claimed that the 2020 NBA Draft number one pick had fathered a child with her shortly before the birth of his daughter. She didn’t stop there as she further alleged that Edwards had another baby with a third woman, though these claims have yet to be verified.
Anthony Edwards faces personal challenges amid Timberwolves’ season of change
Fans will agree that Anthony Edwards’s personal matters, which include the paternity case, are private, and he is not obligated to share details with the public. However, there are concerns in some quarters that these issues could potentially distract him from focusing on his NBA career, especially as the new season approaches.
Fans expect more from the Timberwolves this season, considering that they went against the odds to reach the Western Conference Finals last year for the first time since 2004.
