Jaden McDaniels has been garnering immense praise from the likes of Anthony Edwards and LeBron James after his recent performance.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are now 2-1 in their first-round playoff series after defeating the Los Angeles Lakers 116-104 in Game 3 on Friday. Anthony Edwards was instrumental in the victory, scoring 29 points and making key plays in the closing minutes. However, by the looks of it, one would easily term Edwards’ teammate Jaden McDaniels as the game changer.
With a career-high 30 points at the end, McDaniels was an outstanding defensive player who held Luka Doncic to just 17 points on 6-of-16 shooting. With a performance of this level, McDaniels received immense praise from his teammates as well as his opposition. Both Anthony Edwards and Lakers superstar LeBron James had praise for McDaniels after the game.
I told him maybe like 2 years ago like, ‘I don’t understand what type of shape you in.’ He never looks tired. He looks like he can play 48 minutes.
Anthony Edwards said
I thought the game ball went to Jaden McDaniels. He was aggressive from start to finish.

In addition, Edwards also praised McDaniels for his defense on Lakers star Luka Doncic throughout the game. All in all, this was a crucial win for the Timberwolves in the ongoing Playoff series, leading 2-1. Julius Randle, who contributed 22 points and helped Minnesota dominate in the post with a 56-26 scoring advantage, also had a good game for the Timberwolves.
In an attempt to take advantage of their home-court advantage, the Timberwolves will try to increase their series advantage in Game 4 on Sunday in Minneapolis.
On the other hand, the Lakers weren’t efficient on the court in Game 3. Despite keeping the Lakers close with his 38 points, LeBron James was unable to lead the team in the closing seconds. Despite his shooting spree, the Lakers had trouble finishing the game and were defeated by 19 turnovers that gave the Wolves 28 points.
Anthony Edwards made an exciting claim regarding Game 3 win against the Lakers
Notably, Anthony Edwards came up clutch against the Lakers in Game 3. Everyone in and around the NBA knows by now that Edwards is known for his ‘bad boy’ character. He does not mince his words and speaks his mind without hesitating. He did the same when he was asked about his recent win against the Lakers at the Target Center in Game 3 of the NBA Playoffs.
That was fun. It was so loud today—when Julius (Randle) scored his first basket, it was so loud in there I couldn’t hear a play. I couldn’t hear what play we was in, I couldn’t hear Rudy (Gobert) saying, ‘Screen left, set,’ I couldn’t hear nothing.
Anthony Edwards said
He was dominant against the Lakers when it counted most, scoring 29 points, pulling down 8 rebounds, and dishing out 8 assists. Edwards will be looking to add another win on home court when the Wolves take on the Lakers in Game 4 at the Target Center.
Jaden McDaniels opened up on going ‘toe-to-toe’ against LeBron James
Timberwolves star Jaden McDaniels made headlines against the Lakers in Game 3 of the ongoing series. Of course, going toe-to-toe with the likes of Luka Doncic and LeBron James is not an easy task. McDaniels overcame that. James is always a difficult opponent because he is one of the best players in the NBA.
Despite being aware of the pressure to perform against elite players like LeBron James and Kevin Durant, McDaniels did not neglect his duty. He shed some light on playing against James at the Target Center.
It’s amazing to watch. Sometimes it looks so easy when he’s just looking at the ground shooting them threes. 20 years, 21 years, you just gotta respect it, and go ahead and compete. Man, he’s a great. We just gotta keep fighting against him though.
Jaden McDaniels told SportsCenter
"Sometimes it looks so easy when he's just … looking at the ground shooting them threes."

When playing against one of the greatest of all time, that is the proper mindset. But with their two victories, McDaniels, Edwards, and the Timberwolves must realize they pricked the bear. In situations like this, James and Luka are going to be difficult to defeat.
