As Anthony Edwards continues to make headlines with his masterful performances in the NBA, some headlines also seem to hamper his image. For context, Edwards has been involved in multiple relationships in the past. In relation to this, the Grizzlies fans taunted Edwards during the game whilst making a few free throws.

His legal struggle with Ayesha Howard, who asserted that Ant was the father of her daughter Aubri Summers, is the most renowned case Edwards is currently involved in. The three-time All-Star gave Howard more than a million dollars in child support, a record sum that would sustain him for the following eighteen years, according to several reports that have subsequently surfaced.

Ant’s two worlds are now clashing. While he was making free throws during the Wolves’ most recent game against the Memphis Grizzlies, fans in the front row began yelling, “Child support, child support.” A player with a lesser mind might have allowed that to get to them. However, we are talking about Edwards here. The Timberwolves star just shrugged off the taunts with a smirk on his face.

The Grizzlies fans could do nothing but laugh. It’s safe to say that, Edwards did his talking on the court. He responded with a game-high 44 points against the Grizzlies at the FedExForum, snatching an important win for his side. With the win the Timberwolves are in contention to qualify for the NBA Playoffs this 2024-25 season.

However, the Timberwolves will miss the inclusion of their star, Anthony Edwards going into the final game of the regular season. So this upcoming game against the Utah Jazz won’t be easy. Given that, only time will tell whether or not the Wolves will snatch a playoff berth in the coming days.

Fans troll Anthony Edwards for his recent reaction during the Grizzlies matchup

Anthony Edwards has generated all sorts of headlines lately, from interrupting his teammate’s interviews to dropping a masterclass on the Grizzlies. However, the news that got everyone’s attention was a viral video that Grizzlies fans posted. In the video, fans shout ‘child support’ towards Edwards. In response, Edwards smiled at them at the FT line.

Fans were quick to troll the NBA star via their socials. Many fans took to various social media apps to put forward their views and thoughts on Edwards’ reaction. One fan wrote on X, “Bro laughing cause he already paid the bill” Check out some of the reactions below:

Edwards doesn’t appear to be cognitively phased, and it’s obvious that the chanting wasn’t having much of an impact on him. After 44 was delivering Team USA a motivational speech at the Paris Olympics, this is the same person who mocked former US President Barrack Obama(in a funny way).

Anthony Edwards will miss an important matchup against the Utah Jazz

Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves did their job on Friday by beating the Nets at home. However, just when things were going the Timberwolves’ way, Edwards had other plans. Edwards got a technical foul for using ‘profanity language’ towards an official in the game. It’s important to note that, this was Edwards’ 18th technical foul of the season.

This has led to his suspension from the final game on Sunday against the Utah Jazz, per Jon Krawczynsk of The Athletic.

For the Timberwolves, winning their last game is very crucial as it can determine their qualification to the NBA Playoffs, and avoid the Play-in tournament. However, with Edwards not being eligible to play against the Jazz, there will be immense pressure going into the final game of the regular season. Given that, Edwards concluded his regular season by averaging 27.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in 78 games. This is assuming the technical foul is not uplifted.
