Anthony Edwards says he is the first option

Anthony Edwards is a superstar full of confidence and charisma, which was evident during press conferences as well. Team USA has a stacked roster full of NBA superstars and veterans. Despite that, the Minnesota Timberwolves guard stated that he sees himself as the main option for Team USA as they play for the coming Olympics.

After coming off the best season of his career so far, Anthony Edwards is in high spirits as he displays main character energy on this stacked team. Whoever makes the first option on Team USA will have all the pressure on his shoulders as he leads the team to the gold. Team USA will have their exhibition match against Team Canada. After that, they begin their quest for the gold against Team Serbia led by Nikola Jokic on July 28.

Anthony Edwards’ new teammate was in trouble over s*xual assault

Minnesota Timberwolves selected Illinois star Terrence Shannon Jr. as the 27th overall pick in the draft. For Shannon, it was always a dream to play in the NBA. However, Shannon has to keep his behavior at its best as he is playing alongside Anthony Edwards. The young player is just getting out of the crutches of a s*xual assault case.

Last September Shannon was arrested and charged with s*xual assault. The charges were denied by his lawyers but he got suspended by the Illinois Fighting Illini. However, the federal court overturned the suspension. He was proven 100% innocent.

He returned to the lineup after missing 6 games. Shannon played well in the crucial season and eventually lost to the then-champions Uconn. Shannon’s addition to the Timberwolves is great as he will add fresh energy to the team. Playing alongside star guard, Edwards is the cherry on top for the young star.
