“So f**king disrespectful!” Anthony Edwards was in disbelief hearing Timberwolves fans booing own team
Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards left upset with his 'own' fans disrespecting his side after recent loss vs Kings in the NBA.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been in a slump of form over their last four NBA matchups in the 2024-25 season. They have not been performing up to their standards despite having the likes of Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert, and Julius Randle at their disposal. This has left the Timberwolves fanbase visibly frustrated.
Last night, the Timberwolves fell to the Kings 115-104, their fourth consecutive defeat. After the game, Anthony Edwards talked about how frustrated he was and oddly decided to criticize the Timberwolves’ home crowd for jeering and booing the players during this difficult time. Edwards was unhappy with his ‘own’ fans’ behavior towards his side.
Despite his poor shooting performance, Anthony Edwards had a respectable game. He scored 29 points (9–24 FG), pulled down five rebounds, and earned five assists while hitting 44.4% from the free-throw line. However, this was insufficient to end the Timberwolves’ losing run. Not only that, Edwards also called out his teammates for playing ‘like a bunch of kids.’
Anthony Edwards: "The fans fuckin’ booing us. That shit is crazy, man. We’re getting booed in our home arena. That’s so fuckin’ disrespectful, it’s crazy."

I kind of understand him. This is all frustrating right now. But it feels like the trigger is a little quick.
The Timberwolves are capable of playing well every night and have a respectable roster. The team chemistry has obviously been impacted by the Randle move, but despite this, the roster has not gelled. Randle and Gobert were also involved in an on-court tussle, sending out a clear warning regarding the locker room struggles that they are facing.
Timberwolves’ on-court struggles continue despite best efforts from Anthony Edwards
The Minnesota Timberwolves recently played against the Sacramento Kings on home court. However, they suffered a harsh loss in front of their crowd, resulting in boos from the fans. Notably, the Timberwolves’ roster lacks chemistry.
Before the Kings matchup, the Timberwolves lost to the Toronto Raptors due to a series of misunderstandings and poor chemistry involving their key players, Rudy Gobert and Julius Randle. For example, Randle chose to pass the ball to Gobert for the final possession of the game.
Soon, Gobert slipped out for an uncontested slam at this point. Randle gave him “a cold shoulder,” leaving the court with a very unhappy look on his face. Gobert botched the pass as time was running out, which resulted in this. Anthony Edwards was also left frustrated by this. This demonstrates that the Timberwolves continue to have significant problems both on and off the court.
Julius Randle grabs a missed free throw and races the ball up the court before zipping the ball to Rudy Gobert as if to say, "fine, here ya go." Gobert fumbles the pass and Randle slumps his shoulders before walking off.

Moreover, their star man Anthony Edwards has been leading his side despite the poor results. He hasn’t yet figured out how to combine Randle and Gobert to create a strong trio, though. This issue needs to be resolved quickly by the Timberwolves before it becomes “out of hand.”
