Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev is just a month away, and the Boxing world can’t wait. The Brit, Joshua will be defending his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles at O2 Arena in London, come December 12, against the dominant and powerful Bulgarian, who just has one loss to his name. (Against the legendary Wladimir Klitschko). If Anthony Joshua manages to beat Pulev, he might soon find himself in the ring against the undefeated “Gypsy King” Tyson Fury.

Speaking of this, AJ told about his ambitions to fight Tyson Fury in 2021 with every major title on the line. But, before that, he must beat the marauding Kubrat Pulev who stands in his way.

“Fighting for the WBC would be an honour” – Anthony Joshua

Speaking of getting his hands on the WBC belt, AJ was quoted as saying, “It’s always been my wish. Not just the WBC but competing with the toughest challenges that the heavyweight division has to offer. That’s the only way to get better, right? You have a tough night, you go back again, you improve whether you win or lose. Fighting for the WBC would be an honour. It’s a prestigious belt, it’s one that I’m keen on getting my hands on. When the time is right, the opportunity will present itself.”

Joshua was also wary of the threat his next opponent, Pulev poses. Speaking of which he said, “He’s not a social media famous boxer – that’s where a lot of people get their credibility in this day and age. In terms of what he stands for? What he represents? He has been around a long time. He knows his way around the ring. He possesses a challenge. He wants the titles and he wants to beat me. That’s what he possesses! Hunger and motivation! I’ve got to take away that motivation and suppress that confidence.

Will Anthony Joshua live up to ‘his own expectations’?
