“Time to bench him” – Anthony Richardson throwing interceptions in every NFL game doesn’t sit well with fans

Anthony Richardson has been having a tough time throwing the ball this season. The quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts entered the season with a lot of expectations riding on his recently operated shoulders. But apart from using his legs for rushing, Richardson has struggled with his accuracy.
Heading into Week 3, Anthony Richardson had 4 interceptions in the season. In his first game of the season against the Texans, the quarterback threw just 1 interception but Week 2 was disastrous as he turned the ball over thrice.
The quarterback struggled against the Chicago Bears as he had thrown 2 interceptions. Both of these turnovers were shocking to watch as they were not close calls. Richardson’s accuracy proved to be a cause for concern as one of his plays was practically a pass to the opposition.
Anthony Richardson has the most interceptions in the NFL this season
It is concerning for the Indianapolis Colts as they have had a terrible start to the 2024-25 season having lost both games. The team have now won the first game of the season, against the Chicago Bears but halfway through the fourth quarter, all of Indianapolis’ 21 points came from field goals and rushing touchdowns from Jonathan Taylor and Trey Sermon.
Richardson entered the league with immense potential. He is a unique player as he can run the ball, throw it well, and is not as fragile compared to other players in his position. Despite the early struggles in the season, Anthony Richardson has time to turn things around. While it is understandable that he expects the wide receiver to be in a particular location, his throws seem impulsive and premature.
The quarterback needs to read the field accurately if he can utilize the weapons at his disposal to the maximum potential. Hopefully, he turns things around.
