Argentine superstar Lionel Messi’s national team duties have tied him down, as he missed out on having a wonderful time with his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo and his three kids, who are having a ‘magical’ vacation at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
The 36-year old forward has left his family back in Florida, where he currently resides, while playing for Inter Miami to the north of the USA. The team has traveled to the American capital city of Washington D.C., where they will face off against Guatemala for their last pre-tournament match. Messi is expected to start the fixture after missing out on the XI in the last three matches.
Meanwhile, Messi’s wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, along with their three sons, Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro, have taken some time off to visit Disney World in Orlando, Florida, near their home in Lauderhill, Miami. Antonela shared images of their trip on social media, receiving much love from fans. This is not the family’s first visit to a Disney park, with the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner previously spotted driving a pink car along with his kids at the Disney World in Paris.
While the rest of his family is having a beautiful time at the amusement park, the Argentine captain will lead his team in the 2024 Copa America, aiming to retain the title. Argentina will face Canada in their opening match next week.
Lionel Messi reportedly undergoing muscle rejuvenation for the 2026 World Cup
Inter Miami star and 2022 FIFA World Cup winner, Lionel Messi, is reportedly undergoing muscle rejuvenation, ahead of the 2026 World Cup in the United States of America. However, his participation is uncertain, as he may retire before the tournament.
The Argentine has been facing frequent muscle-related issues and injuries, which have caused him to miss the national team’s first two pre-season matches against El Salvador and Guatemala. Messi might have one more World Cup in his future.
According to Leo Paradizo, Messi is currently undergoing muscle treatment. The reigning World Cup champion will be 38 when the tournament starts, marking his sixth World Cup appearance.
