In Short
  • Antonio Brown mocked Tiger Woods on social media following Woods' DUI arrest after a car crash in Florida.
  • Woods was charged with DUI, property damage, and refusal to submit after a rollover accident, despite a negative breathalyzer result.
  • Martina Navratilova suggested that Woods' driver's license should be suspended to prevent future incidents.

Tiger Woods is lucky enough to survive a crash with just a grumpy mood and a breathalyzer test. But who’s going to protect him from online trolls, by Antonio Brown?

The former NFL wide receiver, who has been a rogue operative ever since ditching the Buccaneers midseason, posted a tweet right after Woods crashed his car. Brown’s words weren’t just a jab at the 50-year-old; they took aim at an entire community, almost like something straight out of a Family Guy script. He tweeted:

Tiger Woods drives a car exactly how you would think a black Asian drives.

Brutal, just the way Brown manufactures his tweets. However, his fans noted that Brown can not take credit for this particular tweet. They quickly traced the origin of the statement to a different account that uses the face of actor Cillian Murphy.

Was Tiger Woods in a car crash in Florida?

On Friday, Woods rolled his Land Rover after it clipped a truck in Jupiter Island, ultimately coming to a standstill. He had to crawl out of the passenger door.

The police’s first action was to check on Woods to determine if he had sustained any serious injuries. After determining he was unharmed, they asked him to take a breathalyzer test to see if he had been driving under the influence. Even though the result came back negative, the police still arrested Woods.

According to a report filed by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Woods allegedly attempted to overtake the pressure cleaner truck at a “high rate of speed.” Sheriff John Budensiek spoke with the DUI investigators who found that Woods showed “signs of impairment,” although he did not appear to have alcohol in his system. Woods was in jail for eight hours until his release.

The concerning thing about this whole situation is that it wasn’t an isolated incident for Woods. Rather, he has frequently found himself involved in accidents over the years. Back in 2021, the five-time Masters champion nearly died in a serious car accident in Los Angeles.

Fire crews had to use ‘jaws of life’ cutting equipment to remove him from the wreckage of his vehicle. Sky Sports reported that he required multiple surgeries for leg and ankle injuries, which kept him out of golf action for 15 months.

Moreover, Woods missed several events due to a ruptured Achilles tendon in March 2025 and back surgery in October. This week, he returned to compete in the TGL Indoor Finals for the first time in over six months. The accident couldn’t have happened at a more critical point in his career. While he hasn’t ruled out playing in next month’s Masters, it’s still uncertain if he’ll be able to make it after this setback.

After the crash, Tennis legend Martina Navratilova urged the DMV (the Department of Motor Vehicles) to suspend Woods driver’s license.

Tiger needs to have his driving license taken away- before he hurts himself again and maybe someone else as well.

Her suggestion is grounded in reality. But then again, rather than giving up his driver’s license, Woods should consider hiring a chauffeur to chaperone him around.
